A critical factor in the Guatemala's coffee quality is proper milling.. The majority of coffees in Guatemala are wet-milled and dried on site contributing greatly to the coffee's quality.

Our coffees are brought after wet-milling to either one of our buying agencies in Huehuetenango, Santa Rosa, Gualan and Coatepeque or delivered to Sertinsa's central mill in Antigua where the coffee is dry milled and checked for quality before being exported.

In the Alta Verapaz region, Sertinsa owns the Santo Domingo wet mill. While in Santa Rosa and Acatenango, Sertinsa manages several wet mills in cooperation with the Tropical Farm Management, the farming division of the Neumann Kaffee Gruppe Company. These mills coupled with warehouses located strategically across the country allow Sertinsa to source coffees from every part of Guatemala.
